In the years since Corona, the Canary Islands have become the place to go for digital nomads or Europeans who don't want to take days-long trips to avoid spending the winter in their cold homeland.
I myself have been to Tenerife twice since then and was surprised each time anew at what this island with the second highest mountain in Europe in the middle has to offer!
And especially away from the tourist castles in the south of the island, there are places where you can be more alone than in some remote places in South America.
This short photo documentary about the second largest island in the Canary Islands takes you on a climb to the summit of Mount Teide, to the rugged north coast and on a hike through the laurel forests of the northern highlands. But also on a ridge walk in Masca, in the rugged landscapes at the foot of the Teide or sleepy places in the dusty south of the island.
Tenerife has so much to offer that even two trips are not really enough. Here is at least a little insight.

The highlights are great.
But if you want to dive deeper, then this here is just perfect for you.

Unlike the sandy south of the island, the northwest of Tenerife is full of lush vegetation, breathtaking sunsets and magnificent views of Mount Teide. Fortunately, the colorful streets of the small towns also lack one thing - the many tourists of the south.
